01 · Problem

People can have real experience without having the language to present it as a career signal.

Care work, part-time jobs, study, games, and hobbies often contain meaningful behavior but sit outside a conventional resume. GapProof avoids scoring aptitude or employability. It only turns source-grounded, user-confirmed evidence into a next action.

02 · Core flow

Write freely, let AI propose, and keep the user in control.

  1. ConsentSource processing and anonymous statistics are separate choices.
  2. ExperienceUsers start with their own unstructured words.
  3. Skill candidatesAI proposes a skill together with the exact source quote.
  4. User confirmationConfirm, edit, or reject. Editing resets confirmation.
  5. Gap and actionCompare with a target role and choose one action for this week.
  6. GapProofCreate a personal evidence card and a counselor-facing Gap Brief with different sharing scopes.

03 · Implementation

The demo is backed by authentication, permissions, and failure handling.

Authenticated SaaS

Supabase email auth plus Google and Kakao OAuth. Google remains limited to test users while public consent approval is pending.

Data boundaries

RLS checks block anonymous access across nine tables, with separate responsibilities for source text, confirmation state, and results.

Visible AI fallback

Solar output and sample fallback are labeled distinctly so a prepared demo cannot be mistaken for live analysis.

Deletion and sharing

Deletion clears local inputs, candidates, choices, and results. Personal cards and institution summaries use different sharing scopes.

04 · Verification

The record includes timeouts and isolated reruns—not just a rounded-up pass claim.

  • Unit tests: 163 passed
  • Browsers: Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit
  • Responsive/accessibility: 320, 375, 768, and 1440px plus automated accessibility checks
  • E2E: 451 passed in the full run; five hit machine-load timeouts. The affected group then passed 90/90 in isolation.
  • Security hygiene: zero detected secrets and zero production test-data residue

05 · Benchmarking

Strong patterns were studied, then adapted around an evidence-first rule.

Credly

A clear distinction between claims and verified credentials, with user-controlled sharing.

Teal

Analysis that leads to an actionable next step rather than a static report.

No visual design or copy was reproduced. GapProof differentiates itself by requiring both an exact source quote and explicit user confirmation before a skill is treated as evidence.

06 · Current boundary

Shipped work and remaining operations are stated separately.

The public demo, email/social sign-in, data policies, and core analysis flow are inspectable now. Public Google OAuth consent, complete account deletion, and cross-device email confirmation remain on the next operations stage.
